Welcome to my pack! I wanted to share a little about how I went from balanced training to no-conflict training.

About 6-7 years ago, I had a realization that changed everything.

As a dog trainer with many years of experience using balanced training styles, I saw dogs still fearful and aggressive despite obedience.

I witnessed owners struggling to maintain progress at home. I realized that some dogs were being labeled "beyond help" too quickly.

These cases haunted me, and I knew something had to change.

Since I tend to learn best hands-on, I grabbed a dog in line for euthanasia and went to work. I chose no tools.

I used energy, tone, environment, play, routine, structure, and more! And what I saw happening with this dog created a hunger in me to turn around and help as many misunderstood dogs as possible.

My No-Conflict Approach to Rehabilitating Last Chance Dogs

I work with dogs deemed aggressive or dangerous by previous owners/trainers.

No physical restraint, intimidation, or punitive measures are used.

Focus on identifying and addressing underlying triggers and emotional roots of aggression.

Customized behavior modification plans based on each dog's history, psychology, and needs.

Desensitization and counterconditioning techniques to rewire fear/aggression responses.

Owner education and empowerment to maintain progress and ensure safe interactions.

Collaboration with vets and behaviorists to rule out underlying medical causes.

2. **Bonding**: Establishing trust and connection with the dog.

3. **Basic Foundations**: Teaching essential calm behaviors and manners.
